01Who this policy covers
This policy covers the iPhone and Apple Watch app ComboLoop, its Home Screen widgets, and this website. It explains, in plain words, what is stored, where it is stored and who can see it, which in almost every case is only you.
If anything here is unclear, write to loopiosoftware@gmail.com and it will be answered by a person.
02What ComboLoop collects about you
Nothing. ComboLoop does not ask you to create an account. It does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, date of birth or location, and it does not collect any information about you or your device.
There is no server of ours for the app to talk to. No profile is built, no identifier is assigned, and nothing about your use of ComboLoop is sent to us or to anybody else.
03What is stored on your device
Everything ComboLoop shows you is created by you and kept in the app’s own storage on your device:
- your habits: their names, marks, colours, schedules, targets and reminder times
- your history: which days were stamped, which were set aside, and any line you wrote about a day
- the milestones and tokens your history has earned
- your settings: language, ink, the hour your day starts, and the order of the grid
This data belongs to your copy of the app. Deleting ComboLoop removes it from that device.
04iCloud
If you are signed into iCloud, ComboLoop keeps your habits, history and settings the same across the devices signed into your Apple Account. It uses Apple’s iCloud key-value storage, which means the data travels inside your own iCloud account and is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
We cannot see, read, download or recover anything in your iCloud. There is no dashboard on our side, because there is no side. Sync can be turned off at any time in iOS Settings, and ComboLoop carries on working from the copy on the device.
05Widgets and Apple Watch
The Home Screen widgets, the Control and the Apple Watch app read the same habits from a shared container on your own device so they can show your dials and let you stamp from outside the app. Nothing about this leaves your device.
06Permissions and notifications
ComboLoop asks for exactly one permission, and only if you set a reminder: notifications. Reminders are scheduled locally by iOS on your device. There is no push server, so no reminder ever passes through us.
ComboLoop does not access your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, calendar, location, health data, or the files on your device. If you use Export or share a milestone card, iOS shows its own share sheet and you choose where the file goes.
07Third parties, analytics and advertising
ComboLoop contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no attribution, no advertising and no third-party SDKs of any kind. There are no adverts, no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.
The only third parties involved in ComboLoop at all are Apple (who distribute the app, run the App Store and provide iCloud) and, for this website, the hosting described below.
08This website
This site is a small set of static pages on Firebase Hosting. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no third-party scripts, and loads its one typeface from its own server rather than from a font network.
Like any web server, the host processes the ordinary technical data needed to deliver a page (the request, an IP address, a browser user-agent) and keeps short-lived operational logs. That data is not used to identify you, is never combined with anything from the app, and is not sold or shared.
09Children
ComboLoop collects no personal data from anyone, of any age, so there is nothing about a child to collect, store or disclose. It contains no adverts, no purchases and no links out to social networks.
10Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you the right to see, correct, export or delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to look up, but your data is not out of reach:
- See it: it is all in the app, on your device.
- Export it: use Export in Settings to write your history out as a file.
- Delete it: archive or delete habits inside the app, or delete the app itself. To remove the synced copy, sign out of iCloud or clear ComboLoop’s iCloud data in iOS Settings.
Nothing about you is sold, rented or shared. There is nothing to opt out of.
11Changes to this policy
If ComboLoop ever changes in a way that affects this policy, the policy is updated first and the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
